Servicing
We only fit the highest quality original equipment or better vehicle component parts, along with the finest quality synthetic lubricants and the best consumables. Add to that a labour rate often at least 50% lower than that of a franchised dealer we believe you will be pleasantly surprised by the savings we can offer.
When carrying out a full service we start by checking all lights, horn & wipers & (where fitted) air conditioning operation. Then we go under the bonnet where we check all fluid levels (& top up if required), check auxiliary belt condition, bonnet catch operation whilst also checking for any oil or coolant leaks. Then the car will be sent up on the ramp & have the oil drained, the tyre tread depths & pressures checked along with a full check of the exhaust & suspension systems. Once this has been completed we lower the car to half height & check the brakes, including removing brake drums (where fitted) & cleaning out any dust along with any carrying out any adjustments required. We then lower the car the floor & install all the service parts including oil, air, fuel & pollen filters along with the spark plugs (where applicable) before refilling the engine with the correct grade of oil. We will then reset the service light, stamp the service book or complete your online service record (where applicable) before carrying out a road test for quality control purposes.
MOT’S
Every vehicle in the UK needs to have an MOT carried out every year to ensure it meets the minimum road safety & emission standards. If you have a vehicle which is more than 3 years old, it will require an MOT.
We can carry out an MOT while you wait if required & this normally takes around 45 minutes to complete. It is best practice to book your car in at least 1 week prior to its MOT expiry date (although this can be done up to 1 calendar month before it expires).
This way if the car fails the test you will have time to have the car repaired (hopefully by ourselves) but if you choose to take it elsewhere at least you can still drive the car legally. If you find your car has run out of MOT, get in touch & we will do our very best to squeeze you in.
Tyres
We carry a large range of the most popular sized tires in stock & have a choice of good quality budget, to premium brand tyres which are priced very competitively. If we do not have the size or brand of tyre you require in stock we can order in whatever it is you need (usually within the hour). All our tyre prices include fitting, balancing & casing disposal.
